The Ministry of Energy announced that the evaluation of the projects under the procedure "National scheme for support to households in the field of renewable energy" has been successfully completed. As a result, 1 544 households will receive funding for the purchase and installation of solar installations for domestic hot water supply or photovoltaic systems up to 10 kWp, including electricity storage systems.
The procedure, which started in May 2023 and ended in November 2023, has attracted considerable interest. A total of 2001 project proposals were submitted, of which 147 were withdrawn. Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov confirmed the ranking, stressing the importance of the scheme in reducing electricity costs and the environmental benefits of using renewable energy.

The projects that will receive funding will contribute significantly to increasing the use of renewable energy sources in households. The total investment under the procedure is 240 million BGN, of which 140 million BGN is provided by the Recovery and Sustainability Facility and the remaining 100 million BGN comes from national and private co-financing.
